Shepard's
Pen Drawings

In 1969 Shepard
donated three hundred of his
preliminary
sketches to the Victoria and Albert
Museum in London,
where they were
exhibited in 1969. By those beautifuls stood often notes of
Shepard and quotations from the stories. In the book "The complete book
of Winnie the Pooh"are next to the more knowlegde
colourillustrations many of those drawings from the collection.

These are a few of
Shepards first provisional draughts. There is one of Christopher
Robins teddybear, the real Winnie the Pooh. Eventually Shepard
choose the teddy of his son Graham as model of Winnie.
